Dr. Fuhrman's Cabbage Salad

Dr. Fuhrman is a known vegetarian and has recently published his cancer preventative program called G-Bombs.  In his G-Bombs diet there is heavy stress on beans and living a life free of animal products.  Here is his diet:

The G-Bomb Theory

Eating healthy does not mean loading up on organic fruits and vegetables.  It does mean that you must look at the G-Bombs as Dr. Joel Fuhrman wrote about.  What are the G-Bombs?

G - Greens - Plant based greens necessary for a healthy diet.
B - Beans - Eat one cup of legumes a day for protein.
O - Onions - Raw onions and even onion juice proven beneficial.
M - Mushrooms - Lot of information on the health benefits here. (only cooked mushrooms)
B - Berries - Eat berries low in sugar as your fruit.  Avoid high glycemic fruits
S - Seeds - Seeds, especially flax and sesame which are high in lignans.

Dr. Fuhrman emphasizes that October Breast Awareness month must be Breast Cancer Prevention Month and that we should learn to change our dieting habits for life, not just during the cancer.

Holistic Cabbage Salad

Please also note that one man had cancer and his wife fed him a cabbage slaw everyday and he cured his cancer.  Cabbage has tons of vitamin C.

Read: Can Cabbage Slaw Really Shrink Cancer Tumors?

Here is what the woman reported: ""Also regarding my husband's prostrate cancer: His prostrate tumor seems to be shrinking since he started a raw fresh cabbage diet as well as juicing. I make fresh coleslaw daily for him. As he found a study of rats with prostate cancer whose cancer either shrunk or totally disappeared with raw cabbage in their diet!"

What benefits are in cabbage for Cancer?
Although cabbage is great for cancer prevention as proven by the 475 studies that has been done on this cruciferous vegetable, it also has more benefits.  It is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, it is an antioxidant and is rich in glucosinolates.

Cabbage is high in Vitamin C and contains more vitamin C than oranges. Eating cole slaw alone is not enough to cure cancer alone. It is part of a diet program that will aid in the eradication of this disease though.
