Healthy Green Smoothie with Spinach, Avocado and Banana


This is day two of my raw food fast and part of the instructions is that I need to have some plant fat, olive leaf and fruit juice.  So I thought to myself, why not make a green smoothie and include all of the above.  This smoothie has no sugar or dairy of any kind.  It is very healthy and it tastes great.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups spinach leaves, frozen may be used
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried olive leaf (optional)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 cups ice cold water
Directions:
  1. Put the water, spinach and ground flax in a large blender and blend on high speed for one minute.  Add in the avocado and frozen banana chunks and again blend on high.
  2. This will make enough for two people or one very hungry person.
